Snips and Snails and Puppy Dog Tales

All summer I was in an apartment with AC. I used it three times. Two of those three times I could have easily done without it. Once was necessary because I had used the self-clean on the oven and didn't realize it would heat up my apartment by literally 20 degrees. So, weather-wise, I didn't need to use the AC even once.

Move to a new apartment with no AC. Less than a week later, heat wave. 90 outside (which is also 7 degrees hotter than where I used to live ONE TOWN OVER, five minute drive away). Evening and it's still hot outside, and way hotter inside. And it's going to be even hotter tomorrow.

The one plus side to this is that, since I'm in the temporary apartment, it has a bedroom window and is on the second floor, so I can leave it open at night. (Leased apartment has no bedroom, let alone bedroom window, and is on the ground floor.) If I couldn't get a cross-breeze going, I'd be really miserable.

Next summer is going to be fun...

It's 10 PM, do you know where your AC is?

Nearly 10, and it's 78 in my apartment. *melts* Winter's coming back soon, right? What? It's seven months away? D: Yesterday I had the heat on, today I have the AC on! (Just for a few minutes to cool things off before bed.)

On a nicer note, I keep reading this little comic over and over and it makes me happier every time! Eee love! So sweet!

And lastly, my cat is trying to eat my sofa. I've been suspecting this for a while, but I finally caught her chewing on it today. If one day I come home to find no sofa and yet a sofa-shaped cat, I'll know what happened. (But more seriously, it's leather, so I guess she likes the taste? She finds a fold near the top of it and chewchewchews away at it. I correct her when I'm home, but she's at home alone a lot... I hope she doesn't damage it or make herself sick or something.)

Haven't posted in a while. Still sick. Blah. Head's full, ears are full... how can one head be so full of gunk?

I got the name thistlechaser on Dreamwidth. No, I don't think LJ is about to close. No, I don't expect the whole of fandom to actually move there. Yes, I think this is the 'every couple years all of LJ panics and gets ready to move elsewhere' thing. Unlike the last two times, this time I grabbed my name just because... well... the invite system made me want one. An invite, I mean. ("What do you mean, everyone else has one and I can't have one? D: D: D: " )

I haven't watched Heroes in many seasons, and I have no idea who these two are, but wow this picture is hot (totally work safe). Text not by me, whole image comes from fandom_secrets. Such a simple image, but it totally works for me.

Hit 74 in WoW (finally). I think it'd be hard to level slower than I do (one level a week, maybe). My only goal on my main character is 77 so I can fly in Northrend (need 3K more gold and three levels) -- at least the good part about XPing slowly is I can make money faster (I think).

Logged onto FFXI long enough to message my Dynamis leaders to let them know I was basically going on break. I had intended to keep attending until I turned my account off (after the mog lottery thing), but I don't care anymore. (What's getting the last pieces I need to complete sets so I can store them and get space back matter when I don't play?)

RP on WoW is going well. Short short short short poses kill me (especially when I give in and do them as well), but at least I can generally get RP every day, which counts for a whole lot. RP is like some kind of a drug -- the more you get, the more you want need.

That's about it, I guess. Anyone want a runny nose? *sniffles*
