I really enjoyed it at the time it originally aired, so I figured I'd check it out now. Amazingly, nearly 10 years later, it held up perfectly*.
I came here just to make you feel old! Because My So-called Life started in '94. So... SEVENTEEN YEARS! D: I do feel bad saying that btw.
And film quality is the worst thing about watching re-runs. It sucks when you find something you thought was so amazing and the quality seems so poor now that it's almost painful to watch.
