I decided to take pictures of my "garden" today.

"By the power of Jaga, sunflowers grow straight! I, Lion-O, Lord of the Thundercats, command it!"

Poor Lion-O doesn't have enough hands to support all the sunflower seedlings. All three of those little pots were planted at the same time with different flowers. It's amazing to see how different they are! I'm still trying to figure out how to support the sunflower ones, they don't make a wire support cage small enough for them.

This is the other set that's still inside:

Three herbs! They're only about an inch tall, too small to replant outside yet.

Moving outside, this is the table I ended up getting. Not what I wanted, but it turns out to work okay, though it might end up being a little small. I like the mesh, since any extra water falls through instead of puddling.

Thyme (from the farmer's market) in the round pot, basil and rosemary in the long one. The space at the end will eventually have one of the inside seedlings in it.

And lastly, this is such a nice season. My orange tree is blooming:

SO SWEET! It smells amazing. Unfortunately the tree is dying (has been for a couple seasons now). Something is eating it, fully half the tree is gone and the remaining leaves are really, really pale. I hope whatever it is doesn't spread to the herbs.

A good day today. The weather was nice, and so I did a lot of cleaning up outside. Then inside and RP! :D :D I had intended to watch Hunger Games today, but I ran out of time. Hopefully tomorrow!

With the sunflowers, put a stick in the pot and tie 'em to it with string - bamboo works well. Every couple of days make sure the string isn't tight.

Thanks! I'm looking for bamboo or something good like that that I can use. (A pencil is too big for now.)

Go outside at night to see what's munching on your tree. You can try a insecticidal soap spray to see if that helps or even make up a little hot pepper spray (google, if you're curious). Sometimes, you can just pick the bugs off.

Yay for gardens! I need to get this year's annuals and plant them so I can admire the flowers from my office window.

Thanks! I'll check tonight and see if I can spot anything.

Poor little tree, its oranges still look nice, though.

Yes! I leave the oranges on from year to year, so it always looks like an orange tree. (I don't trust to eat them, bugs likely got to them.)
