Sadly this happens. :( My husband gets them. Cellulitis I think it's called. Not sure of the name. That's what put him in the hospital last Jan, and nearly killed him. It isn't always life threatening, but should be taken seriously just the same.
I know that sounds dire, for it isn't always, but you did the right thing. Never take this stuff lightly. Never. Which means I'm VERY glad you went to the clinic.
Mark's been getting them for years. I've packed more wounds then I ever care to think about. x.x When it's bad enough they have to cut you open to drain the area. Then you have to let it heal from the inside out.. which means literally stuffing gauze into your open wound for weeks. I hope this never happens to you!
