Drama Llamas! (FFXI then RL stuff)

Yo, peppygrowlithe, I saw you using "llama" in place of "drama" (I think) in your LJ. Is that a WoW thing, or you being silly, or did I totally misunderstand? Either way, it amuses me and I like it! It lets me say things like:

I'm muchly enjoying the LS llamas in one certain CTY journal.

Because really, who doesn't like llamas? When I first saw the post yesterday, I almost commented. I wanted to defend Beanie cause it looked like this person was attacking her rather harshly and unfairly, but happily I decided against it. 1) It's not my fight, and 2) Beanie is a big girl and can defend herself as she wishes. Seeing all the comments this morning, I'm amused to find that I actually made the right decision for once! Now I just get to snicker at the llamas instead of being trampled by them!

Okay, I've spent like an hour dealing with customers since I started this post, and now I have no idea what RL stuff I was gonna write about. Oh well!

While reading a post by my wife-to-be, I cleverly spotted a screenshot of a NM! Stubborn Dredvodd! (Screenshot is abiona's, not mine.) Because we all know I can't leave any NM unturned, I was thinking about riding the barge for a while to try to get him.

Smart-Thistle . o O ( Hmmm, perhaps you might want to check what level he is first? )
Stupid-Thistle, "Rarr! Let's go! No need to check! Kill kill kill!"
Smart-Thistle . o O ( Dude, we're at work, you can't log on for hours, just look him up now! )
Stupid-Thistle, "Rarr! Let's go! No need to check! Kill kill kill!"
Smart-Thistle beats Stupid-Thistle down, then the two go off and have make-up sex.

So anyway! He's a "challenge" for a WHM 50, so a DRK 61 should do fine! (Smart Thistle facepalms.) But while looking at his level, I checked out his drops. Gargoyle Boots! DRG only! (Enchantment: Wyvern gains effect of "Stoneskin".) So maybe Aurian or Cy would like them!

And to kill even more birds with one pebble, we could kill things to get that wood for anyone who wants to do the Teak Me To The Moon (Stars?) quest!

So anyone interested? You can even fish up interesting stuff on the barge! (You'll need CoP access for this.)

Last night I said "I'll stop posting at night when the game stops sucking", but I lied! The game very much didn't suck tonight, but here I am! (Lost is still on, and while I've seen it already, I can't make myself turn it off.)

Draque and I rode the barge for five hours or so, looking for the NM orc Stubborn Dredvodd, but he was a no-show. A boring night? A little, but it was relaxing and non-stressful, which was very nice.

* While we were on the barge, we battled whatever mobs popped up. There's something very wrong with this screenshot, but I can't put my finger on what. (But at least I got a hug after?) No jokes about the special move the mob did at the end of all this -- just bite your tongue. :P

* Here's a tonberry! Luckily I never have to deal with those horrible little buggers (yet), but I thought readers who like the other FF games but haven't played FFXI might like to see what they look like in this version.

* Draque and Carby! I love how Carby is between Draque's legs; I've seen loving dogs do that same thing. :)

* Partially because we're going to kill fomor tomorrow (and DRK ones are in the area), but more because I don't want to wear them anymore, I decided to turn in my panties. Non-players: The NPC you deal with is a child, a girl of maybe seven years of age. When you hand her your panties, she says:



Mind you I've been wearing them for months on end, that same pair... o.O

/goodbye panties!

The level 50 DRK JSE (Gloom Breastplate) actually has less DEF than the level 49 mythril breastplate, but it has an "enhance souleater" effect on it, so I'll use it for capped things. I don't like losing 6 points of DEF, but...
