I can't remember the last time I actually laughed out loud at a bumper sticker. While stopped at a light, I saw this one, and couldn't stop giggling and snickering:

1) Funniest/worst party ever

I've officially had my worst party ever. Well, actually most of the party wasn't bad, but the BLM was so bad that it makes the whole party quality as "worst party ever" in my years of playing.

I was seeking on BLU. 5 other BLUs were seeking in my range (of 15 people total). I figured I was doomed, then a BLM invited me. She then invited 3 other BLUs and a DRK. o.O Okay, maybe some sort of a burn party...? Then, one by one, she kicked the other BLUs and replaced them with other jobs. Eventually I was the last BLU left. o.O

Our nice NIN tank was doomed. This idiot BLM/party leader would do ES + -ga spell as the puller was bringing the mob in, before the first voke. But did she die? Nope! Why? She brought a PL in. Then she brought a second PL in. Then she brought a third PL in. At one point in the evening, we had four PLs! Most of the evening we had 2-3 PLs. And yet the BLM nearly died, over and over.

The BLM was rank 8, yet asked where common zones (like GC) were. o.O Hello purchased character!

Then it got really fun: It was 8 PM and I hadn't had dinner yet, so I told them I'd be AFK for 2 minutes. BLM leveled up right as I ran away from the keyboard. When I came back, the party was disbanded and the BLM warped out. On my screen:

I warped out, snickering to myself. I got to BLU 32, but man. That BLM was the very worst player I've ever met.

2) Saddest thing ever.

I may be a high-ish level crafter (86 + 2 leather, most other things at or near 60) but I don't deal in high-end synths for reasons just like this. Some random person (a friend of a friend) asked me to do some synths. I said I'd do it for free (almost always do it for free, if I know the person -- even indirectly).



Seven MILLION gil lost. I was like 20 over the cap, too. I felt so bad for the guy. :( (I made two successfully for him, but man. I felt so bad about that.)

Depressed me the whole night, too. I know it can't be helped, it's just random, but... I lost 7 million gil for someone. :(

3) Laggiest thing ever.

Another Besieged happened tonight. Wish I could say I had a great time, but I was upset about the hide loss, plus there were 750 people in the zone by the time it started (most I've ever seen there).

I've read up as much as I could and I'm refining my tactics in an attempt to get as much XP/IS as possible. Tonight's goal: Don't die, idiot! When my HP got low, I went off in the corner to sit. When I had no MP, I sat as well. (Next time I'm bringing juice.) I attempted to keep stoneskin up at all times (went as DRK/WHM). And it worked! Not only did I not die once, I walked out with 700 XP! Nearly double my last highest amount!

Man, they brought a lot of mobs. Way more mobs than beastmen. It was another level 5, and boy were they strong.

One of my favorite things about Besieged is how many high people attend. This time I noticed something odd. We look like extras in a Harry Potter movie! So many pointy black hats~! I love my o-hat, but I also love what it means. Anyone can hit 75, but not everyone can have an o-hat.

And lastly: As you can see, I'm man enough to hide behind a woman when I have to. c.c The picture would have been funnier if I had taken it once everyone had popped. I looked like I was crouched behind a wall of taru and that woman. *snerk*

I hope the screenshots all work, Catlove is acting up a bit. Edit: It seems to go down for a couple seconds at a time, then come back up. If it fails for you, try back in a minute or two? Sorry! :(

Tomorrow is the first Saturday I can sleep in in a long time. Yay no NIN static! Yay sleeping in!
