I haven't played 12 in a few days, so I was sort of thinking I should do that tonight, but I didn't feel like it so instead I hung out on 11 and crafted. Dani let it slip that she wanted one of those clubs that the NM pirates on the ferry drop, so a few of us went out camping.

For the first time ever, we tried the Sea Horror. And we won!

Unfortunately he didn't drop much, which was to be the theme of the night.

We spent all night on the ferry, but pirates only attacked once. Luckily Silverhook showed up, and we took him down. Unfortunately there was no drop.

I'm still digging with Bore, even though I lose major money. Part of the reason is that it lets me finish my digging so much faster, but also because it's interesting to see what sort of new things I can get:

Only once has Bore gotten me something that is worth more than the highest item in the zone (don't ask me what/where). Mostly I'm just getting tons of flint stones and other crap. (Today in the desert I got 2 stacks of flint, 1 stack of fish scales, and 1 stack of seashells. >< What a waste.)

And lastly, I've found my favorite dat swap ever! I changed my o-hat out for this: Ahroooo! I loved those cat head masks forever, since the very first time I saw them when I was a wee little week-old player, but I actually like the werewolf mask a lot more. This screenshot does the color a little better justice. It's silvery and grey and bright and just looks so cool! And as you can see in that second screenshot, when the angle is right it looks like you're snarling at people!

Unlike the cat head mask, the werewolf mask usually looks like your real head (totally hiding your face). So very cool, I love it!

Edit: Cy, I checked my book for info on the stealing thing, but couldn't find it. Maybe I read it on a message board instead. Sorry! :/

Do you use the Marnanel Joule page that lets you see who has friended/unfriended you each day? If so, you might want to join the comm ([livejournal.com profile] marnanel_joule) so you can be informed about downtimes and such, but even better:

If you have a paid account, you can set up a feed so that any changes will show up on your flist each day! No need to even go to the website anymore! Info on how to do it is here. It takes only seconds to do -- the hardest part was figuring out what I wanted to name my feed! ([livejournal.com profile] tc_flist_change ftw)

Yay!

Spammy and full of links!

I love this commercial so much! Yay finding a copy of it on YouTube! Gears of War is (I think) a first person shooter, but the commercial is so well done that it appeals to a mostly non-gamer (and for sure a non-FPS) like me. The song is so pretty and it's so odd with the action on the screen. (And the game graphics are really nice, too!)
