The county I live in is going to start to license stores that want to sell tobacco. $400 for the license, then $200 per year after that. The funds will be used to help keep minors from having access to tobacco.

The morning news did interviews with stores selling cigarettes. One said "This is discrimination! We're a minority! This is a hate crime!"

Also, a small MMO note. I realized something, WoW is mirroring FFXI when it comes to expansions. Both had their best one (FFXI's ToAU, WoW's WotLK), followed by one that changed the world (WotG, Cata). FFXI's went back in time to a war-destroyed world, WoW's went forward in time to a dragon-destroyed world.

I bet I was the only player sad to see the new login screen this morning. Come back, Arthas! You're much sexier than a silly dragon with an ugly jaw and an annoying voice!

It's really hard to take Deathwing seriously as a bad guy. He looks silly. He sounds like a whiny kid. Maybe once we kill him, the Lich King can raise him as a cool frost wyrm. :P

Cata overload! x.x I really like the new Org, though I'm so endlessly lost all the time! Going to take weeks before I can find my way around.

Mostly I'm engaged in what itsbacon coined as AH PvP -- fighting other players to make the most money! And boy, it's a good fight. I'm selling things for three times the price I was yesterday! :D I'm just sadly pretty sure I'm going to run out of mats long before the rush ends. I had had a metric crapton of them, too! (Edit: Damned fricking idiots. I swear, I have the worst, most stupid undercutters on any server. Why, oh why, would idiots post hundreds of items (when there are usually only a dozen or so up) at old prices. I need to be able to kill these people. Seriously.)

I've done a few new things. Tamed a fox on mini-Keen, eee! Saw the new goblin town. Killed a new elite mob (or I assume he's never, never saw it before), and most important, I have found the um, best? NPC in the game. They're not even trying to be subtle anymore! Heehee.

And my loading screen woes are gone, for the sexiest guy in the game is now on my screen every time I zone into EK!

Glee: Strange ending to a good ep

This is the first ep all season that I really, really liked... right up until the end. Who'd have thought that Sue would be effective as a principal? And the wedding had me grinning the whole time. This is the first ep where I liked almost all of the songs, too.

The ending though... it negated all the good feelings. I felt terrible that their honeymoon money would be spent on the school (and would it even cover more than a year?).

The most disturbing part of the ep was that I felt a little bad for Karofsky. He was totally and 100% in the wrong, let me be clear on that. Bullying? Death threats? Forced kisses? Unacceptable. But it's sad that he couldn't come out, that his background and culture made him too scared to do it. His father seemed like a good man, and Karofsky is just a kid (the character, anyway). I feel horrible for feeling bad for him, but I wonder if my judgment of him has been too harsh. When the actors look like they're in their mid to late 20s, it's easy to forget how young the kids are. ...and the more I type, the more I feel like I'm betraying everything right. I'm not defending bullying. I'm not defending his actions at all. But the fact that a situation could be created that would make him develop into this person who would bully... that I can feel sorry about.
