Copying FFXI is a bad decision. Really, it is. Take my word on that.

Switching my archaeology digging to EK means I have to catch the zepp from Org (I'd rather not move my hearth). How many times a day I stand there waiting for the damned zepp to arrive! And then it hit me: It's the same thing we used to have to do in FFXI, waiting for an airship to land. Just stand there, minutes at a time, scratching our asses and waiting for no reason at all.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Taking the portals out of Dal was a bad decision. If they wanted people to spend time in Org instead, they should have made Org more attractive (I don't mean looks-wise, though that would help too). People should want to spend more time in Org, not be forced to.

I didn't get to have lunch today, work was too bad. This was fine, as I wasn't feeling well anyway. But, coming home, I knew I had to have dinner so I stopped for a sandwich. Being the antisocial person that I am, I'd rather eat in my car than in the shop. Besides, it was a lovely day out.

So there I was, driver's side window down, enjoying the cool breeze while listening to NPR and eating, when a car pulled in next to me. Slightly annoying, as the entire lot was open. (Then I had to laugh at myself, since that's what the insane FUCK YOU FUCK YOU ASSHOLE woman from last week was so angry over.) But, instead of cursing him out, I just kept my eyes straight ahead and continued to eat.

Then he started talking to me. He had backed his car in, so we were open window to open window.

Him: "Yo yo! Valentine's day is coming! What do you think my girlfriend would like?"

Me: *glances cautiously over, he couldn't be talking to me, right? He was...* "Um, I don't know her..." Go away, go away, go away and let me eat in peace.

Him: "Guess! Give me some ideas! You know I used to work here, right? *points at the shop*"

Me: "Um, flowers?"

Him: "YEAH!"

And he went on to tell me his plans about getting a bunch of roses, putting them all along the way to his bathroom, filling up the tub with bubblebath, and way more details than I wanted to know (just romantic stuff). Then he told me about his relationship, how long they had been together, all that. Finally I just stuffed the rest of my sandwich in the bag, wished him luck, and left.

Please, people! I need to be willing to leave home to go to work! Stop it! No more insane people for the rest of the month, I'm putting my foot down here.
