Update time!
Sep. 24th, 2014 09:57 pm11 days without a bite of food. Can you believe it? Well, unless fake protein shakes and sugar free pudding counts as food. (Hint: They don't.) I see the surgeon tomorrow. He's supposed to approve me for... *drum roll* baby-food textured foods. I cooked up (boiled) a little chicken and blended it with broth tonight, in preparation for the whole... *drum roll* ...tablespoon of it I can eat tomorrow.
I can't blame hunger for making me sarcastic. Oddly I'm not (at the moment, it comes and goes). I miss eating (sometimes SO SO MUCH).
Twice I day I have a fake protein shake (8 oz skim milk, two scoops plain whey protein powder, some stevia (sugar substitute) and some flavor extract (vanilla works best). Blend, add some ice, and there's breakfast and dinner for you. Lunch is a sugar free pudding cup. 300-400 calories a day.
I can't believe how much I miss fast food. How long I took chicken nuggets, fries, burgers for granted. I'd kill a chicken with my bare hands for a chicken nugget.
Baby food stage lasts for 2-3 weeks, then I can slowly go back to real (very moist) food.
In the 9 days since surgery, I lost 15 pounds. On one hand, that's not very good at all. On the other, I lost all of it in the last three days. I somehow lost ten pounds in one day (not water weight -- I eat NO salt anymore and period isn't anywhere near).
Rash is still here, but fading. Thankfully it faded from my face and forearms first, so I can leave the house. Hopefully it'll stop waking me up from being itchy soon.
My mother is here until Friday. I sure will be sad to see her go. We're doing nothing exciting (which explains the lack of exciting posts), but it's great spending time together. (We only get to see each other once a year.)
I have next week off from work as well (though I have to go in one day anyway, boo), then vacation ends and back to new-normal life.
