From what I was able to test, crossposts will automatically lock to the same lock if you're using the friends lock/whatever-it's-called-on-DW that was imported from LiveJournal to Dreamwidth. It will also import all your icons (provided you have a Dreamwidth account that will support the number of icons you have). The locked posts might be an issue though.
I'm not giving up on reading my LJ friends list (for the issues you listed), but just not *hosting* my posts there--just in case they decide to crackdown and remove posts or freeze my account due to violating one of their laws. Given your love of yaoi and the NSFW posts, I would be concerned as well. :)
