Wow. That kind of comic book photo-realism reminds me a lot of Alex Ross for some reason. I know that it's not his work, but it's close enough for me to wonder who drew this.
Oh, and just to let you know, that's Loki (horn guy) and Thor (blond guy). They're Marvel comic book characters based on the gods in Norse mythology and I want to kiss the hand of the artist who drew that because damn, that's a one spicy picture.
I have no idea if Thor's individual series is good, as I used to stick to stuff like X-men and the Fantastic Four, but from what I saw of him in The Avengers comics, he was okay.
I don't know about now, though. He might have gone through some creative changes in the years since I gave up comics for anime/manga. (You might want to check out scans_daily on InsaneJournal if you're interested.)
Loki and Thor??? Wow, that looks a lot different from the Thor with the winged helmet and metal pancakes glued to his chest I am used to seeing. I like this much better!
Ha ha, yes! Agreed! Though from what I knew of Loki, I thought he was supposed to be dark haired and sexy. This picture is an improvement for Thor, but less so for Loki!

Well, he's been beaten about and tied up and stuff. All his 'normal' regalia is probably either damaged (e.g. the tunic he has on in that pic looks ripped) or broken.
I was actually smacking my forehead when I read wanderingscribe's reply and realized I hadn't recognized Loki. He sometimes shows up in that outfit in comics appearances. I always thought he looked like a goober in it personally...and, ack- I went to Wikipedia to see if I could snag an image of Loki and his entry shows that exact image, hahaha.../sigh/
