Fricking reality shows that are popularity contests. The winner of last year's Big Brother couldn't tell time with a non-digital clock. More than that, she does not understand how "quarters" work. "It's a quarter to two o'clock", etc. When asked how many quarters were in an hour, she didn't know. When asked how many were in a dollar, she guessed eight. But she was pretty, blonde, and popular, and so she won.

Tonight's winner (who I won't name in case anyone doesn't want spoilers), said of evolution: "Evolution can't be real because I ain't got no fur on my face like a monkey does". So, your proof that a theory that says things change over time is wrong is that... something changed over time. But he's a traditionally handsome, young, popular guy, so he won.

Blah. Just blah.

What a sucky season. "Final season", almost. Simon's new show sounds like it's going to rock, and once he's gone what will there be left to watch on AI?

This finale is so painful to watch. Either it's especially horrible this year or I'm getting old: Two hours of singers, most I don't know, singing songs I don't like. Ten minutes until the end of the show and we still don't know who will win. (No surprise on that, I know.)

I should have googled to find the winner and saved myself this evening of annoying TV.

Happy! So You Think You Can Dance starts tomorrow! With Survivor ended (Best Season Ever), Thursdays were getting boring. It's really nice how SYTYCD starts just as American Idol ends.

Why yes, I do watch reality TV.

Edit: Holy crap, I thought this would be the third time in 10+ years that the person I wanted to win would win. There was only one person with talent the entire season, and that person did not win. I cannot believe this. (It's last season all over again!) I cannot believe this. Grrr, mumble, grumble. (It's not that I really cared all that much, but it was clear that only one person had talent, so I thought it'd be an easy choice... )

Grumble, mumble, why do I keep watching this stuff? Tonight the 20th season of Survivor ended, and once more the person I wanted to win didn't -- he didn't even get one vote.

I've been watching reality TV since the first season of Survivor, twelve or so years ago. Many series -- nearly all of them, other than the romance/dating/marriage ones. And in all those years and all those shows, only twice has the person I wanted to win win. It's so frustrating! The winner of Survivor (and so many other shows) is supposed to be picked based on skill, but these idiots keep making it a popularity contest instead.

Grrr, grumble, grrrrrr.

Something really strange happened with leveling Thack the druid. He went to Northrend at 68 and everything got easy. No change in gear, not a single Northrend quest reward yet, and suddenly everything clicked. In Outlands his bear-ass got kicked by things 3-4 levels below him, but in Northrend I can take multiple mobs higher level than him. Odd but cool.

He's 70 now, only to find you actually have to be 71 to get your druid epic flight form. Blah. So I have epic flying now, but I need another level to look like the cooler bird form. Sometime this week!

I ended up getting the 24/7 feed, and boy am I sorry. Is this one annoying group of people! (Last year's group did anything but annoy me, other than the one person who picked his nose and never washed his hands after using the bathroom/before touching food.) I can't believe how mean and stupid most of them are.

Jordan: Gods above, they were sitting around telling grade school jokes and she kept not understanding them. Not to mention, she says she doesn't understand what most people talk about (other than music/movies) and so she just nods and laughs and hopes it wasn't a question she had to answer.

Russell: A thing of nightmares. Big, muscular, racist, homophobic. (He's insulted both the Mexican guy in the house ("beaner") and the gay guy ("fag").) The whole house has turned on one person now, and he is just horrible. He follows him around the moment the guy dares come out of his room, yelling at him and insulting him, getting so close he's nearly touching him...

( It's just like high school... (spoiler back here) )

Grumble mumble. They no longer sell a one month access pass to the feed, so I had to buy for three months. If it were one, I'd have canceled it by now. Grump.

Oh how you tempt me, Big Brother. I'd love to buy the live 24/7 feed of you, but I don't have time to watch! It's such a different show when you watch the raw feed instead of the edited TV version!

I haven't even had much time for WoW lately. My wee little druid is still just 31. I think I got a level and a half off the torch throwing/tossing in the summer fire event thingie. No time to play!

I need to retire so I have more time for my hobbies!

A while back I posted how, in my eight years of watching reality TV, many series per year, only TWO of the people I wanted to win ever won. Tonight the person I liked in So You Think You Can Dance was voted out! Arg!

How is it that the people I like never win? Even if I were picking randomly, I should have better odds than this! Grrr.
