I've lived here all my life- 45 years- and I've never seen a summer as mild as this one. I keep thinking, "Oh, okay, tomorrow we're going to have to start paying the piper!", but every day marches on with these ridiculously lovely low 70s. Now, if it stays mild through the first weeks of back-to-school, that'll be an outright miracle, because it always seems to be scorching for that. Fingers crossed...

I know! I thought that today had to be the end of it, we're in August! Then after I made the post I went back and checked the 10 day forecast... AMAZING!

I really, really hate the heat, and my apartment building has no insulation (just stone walls... absorb the heat and radiate it in all day and all night, like living in an oven!), so I'm really enjoying this!

It's a crazy, twisted world where Maine is out-summering California. It's been a pretty steady 70-80 for the past couple months (though the nights are getting awful cold).

I think I prefer that over being cold all the time. D:

That's actually a little cold for my taste, as I prefer my days in the mid-70s. Still, it definitely beats the 90s and humidity we've been having. Yesterday it was 86 with a heat index of 101. I kid you not. I didn't even know that was possible.

Yeah, a high of 63 or 64 will be chilly! Still, for August I really can't complain! :D

I think there was a day or two in the last week here in Toronto where the humidex was 40, which translates to "it feels like 104F".

Me, definitely. My area's highs are balancing out between high eighties/low nineties with humidity running in the seventieth percent. That, plus my seasonal allergies, is making it very hard to breathe right now.
