One of the things I've been (surprisingly!) missing about FFXI is Hot&Cold. I have no idea why I'm missing it, as it was always annoying and frustrating to do. But eeeee! I suspected I'd like the coming Archaeology profession in WoW, and now I'm sure of it! This video explains how it all works. Holy cow, I'm going to do that endlessly!

I really, really, really want the Fossilized Raptor mount, too. I hope it won't be a bitchkitty to get. (I had thought it was gotten through archaeology, though the video makes no mention of it. Edit: Ah ha, it is gotten that way!)

I'm half-excited for Cata, half-stressed out. (Though, to be honest, the scale is usually way more towards stressed than excited.) There's going to be so much to do! I have too damned many 80s, all are going to need 85, all will have work on professions, every single one will need to recap fishing and cooking... and the darned game will crash endlessly at first and there will be queues to log on and and and and. I'm such a damned stress puppy sometimes! Heck, just the coming Brewfest is stressing me out! Blah!

Sometimes I think I need to start doing drugs. (Drugs, my anti-WoW?)

This is why I only have 1 character I really care about (currently, Holy Cows might change that). Makes these events so much easier. I think the entire event is going to be spent praying for a mount drop in the dungeon daily and checking to see if I needed that pet or not from the tokens.

I did Ahune on all three of my 80s (Guttler had JUST reached 80 like a day or two prior) because, except for Lotorin, they all got upgrades. Lotorin just wanted the pet, and Guttler needed the achievement because I want my free 310% mount on all characters.

Soladia and Guttler both got the Needy achievement on the DPS cloak on the same day. >=(

Needy is going to haunt me to the grave I swear to god. I'll have like, every possible achievement, scores of Feats of Strength, and still need that fucking thing. They need to implement a system in raids where you can roll for shit in turn instead of all at once so they can do MS/OS and all those 100's I roll on random bracers will fucking count!

Not really cause from the looks of it at higher levels you're going to be doing it in higher level zones that will have things that aggro you. So, just follow someone around (like those squishy clothies who like to AoE) and just wait for a good opportunity when they are getting distracted by 3 -4 mobs and throw off an AoE. Then splat their happy asses.

The sad thing is, I got the achievement, and it randomly got deleted from my list. And it's not like I do anything where I can reasonably need on stuff now, since I mostly raid!

Yeah, all my 80s do the bosses. New mount! Pet! Upgrades! None of them have ever seen a mount or pet, but at least most of them got capes last time? :/

Lotorin got the Scythe of Ahune. None of them got the pets.

Lotorin has Brewfest Ram, but I want the Brewfest Kodo. =(

At least Ahune gave frost badges!

Thack got the scythe (druid, woot!) Haken, my DK, got SIX scythes!

I'd rather have the ram than kodo. I hate kodos, but I'm also Horde, so the ram would be cooler.

I don't regret moving off of a PvP server. Though I have done PvP for the hell of it.

Yeah, you're gonna be hard-pressed to get to 85. This stuff is more addictive than pokemon. And fun! It's FFIX's H&C only not as frustrating!

*wiggles* Can't wait! Leveling it will be a priority over getting to 85, since... what will I do at 85? It's not like I raid or anything! And this should be more fun than leveling. :D
