What are the chances?

I'm 99% packed. Most of the non-packed stuff is electronics or stuff I use every day.
All of my batteries have long since been packed.
An hour ago, my wireless keyboard died.
A minute ago, my wireless mouse died.
Luckily I had a battery saved out for the mouse, since it eats batteries. The keyboard I had to unpack a different one to use.

Date: 2013-08-30 12:43 am (UTC)Sorry to change the topic here, but I've stumbled over a cooking method you may like. It's really easy!
Parchment paper!
When I read about this I was highly dubious, but it's awesome. Especially when cooking fish and veggies. Turned my carrots into candy, without using anything sweet. It felt like I was eating dessert. o.o
You can find parchment paper with the tinfoil and cling wrap..
What do you do? Spread a piece of paper out, toss your stuff in it, along with spices and butter, then fold it up, folding the edges inwards, until it's a packet. (I use Thyme, Basil, salt, parsley and butter.)
Pop it in the oven for half an hour. I run it about 350 degrees.
Yep, that's it. Toss in pocket, and bake. What the paper does is steam your food. Totally awesome. Cut open and dump on plate when done. Just be warned of hot steam.
I have not tried chicken in this manner, nor pork. Just fish and veggies. I also cook fish and veggie separately. Figured you could try it for veggies. Might make them a little more appetizing. So far carrots and asparagus turn out amazingly sweet. Mushrooms don't last well. Broccoli steams really well, but doesn't turn out sweet. In fact when cooked with carrots the carrots themselves turn out less sweet too.
Anyway.. cheap, damn easy, and one of the least messy ways to cook I've ever found.
