The hacker "has up to 1.7 billion email account passwords in his or her possession." And "personal details relating to an estimated 273 million email accounts. These include the email address and password for some 40 million Yahoo Mail, 33 million Hotmail/Outlook accounts, 24 million Gmail accounts, and tens of millions more."

So go change your password now, while you're thinking about it. Blah, I hate to change all of mine...

Edit: Oops, apparently this might not be true. But you're supposed to change your password on a regular basis anyway, so might as well do it.

I swear, my weight is SO wacky. Yesterday 199.6, today:


Losing a pound and a half in 24 hours? When I went so many weeks without losing an ounce? Ah well, I'll happily take the loss now. And yay this is my official weighing for the week, so it counts!

After my comments about my Stardew Valley farm being sucky, I've had a renew drive to play and make my farm nice. The website stardew.farm really helps with that. Each time you save, it uploads a screenshot for you. So game day by day, you can see how changes are being made. My page has 22 days as of this post, it's fun to see how it changes in time. (Click once on the farm image on that site to bring up the slideshow.)

I'm neither done nor fully happy with it yet, but here's the first step of improving things.

The space isn't still too well used, but I'm early summer right now, so more major changes will likely have to wait until winter. I'm going to chop down all the normal trees, since I have ones out in town tapped.
The lower left corner is all fruit trees, but I might off those as well since you can plant them around town. (I probably really should do that, the space would much better be used for crops...)

(Edit: And by the way, "Where's your stable?" you ask of the After view of the farm? You can destroy the building and the horse just stays there! It stands in the same place, as if the stable were still there. So you get the land back and can keep using your horse!)

The small plot closest to the house is flowers, and bee hives line its wall. I'm in love with my growing mushroom forest, even if it's a waste of space.



So, since it was a girl this time, there was only one thing I could name it.


So now Haken, Morn, and Lu will be living with Sebastian. Until I can kick his underaged ass to the curb.

Speaking of the underaged ass, Sebastian finally, finally changed something in the house. And it's a great change! Check out the wallpaper he put up!



And lastly, the crop fairy came by. I actually had to look up what she does. (Makes crops mature faster, zzz.)

There was an NPR story about weight loss today. I actually sat in my parking space to listen to it, even once I was home. The good news, bypass surgeries have the best long term success when it comes to big weight loss (Go team us!). When people do it other ways (the studies compared surgery to the The Biggest Loser show), it's us who had the best success (not surprising), but we also had the best metabolism (which surprised the researchers and they can't explain it). So that's a plus in our column for our weight keeping going down! But like you said, man, I lost this weight fast this week... it could come back just as fast. Blah!

Those articles are so interesting. In fact, one of the Biggest Loser contestants that has kept the weight off had gastric surgery afterwards!

It's not surprising that the people on the show can't keep it off. The one they interviewed for the NPR story said they often exercised more than 10 hours a day. Talk about a change in lifestyle you can't keep up! (Then she also said something like "I'd have to eat 1,500 calories a day if I wanted to lose weight! That's almost nothing!" and I laughed out loud...)

OOOOOH is that why you would want to plant flowers, to make the bees happy? DUH! I clearly suck at farming LOL. I finally realized I should check my TV for 'Livin off the Land' episodes since they give you little hints.

I got my first "Friend" yesterday and it was Mayor Lewis LOL! Whoops! Not like I'd try to break him and Marnie up, that would be wrong!

I love your mushroom forest. :) It's like a little fairy land off to the side of your farm.

I do a lot of out of game reading -- I think I've read most wiki pages! :P So I knew about the bees/flowers thing that way. (Yet in my first two years I still didn't get around to taking advantage of it...)

Seems like Mayor Lewis would be a good friend to have... just don't let him take his pants off when he comes visiting you. :P

OH MY GOD.
I have never been so delighted and flattered by a video game thing in my whole life. <3 <3 <3 Lu thinks her live dad needs to get a job and stop reading comic books all day though. THIS IS WHY I HANG OUT WITH THE DEAD ALL THE TIME LIVE DAD. He does have amazing taste in wallpaper, though.

The crop fairy has visited me twice, but still no witch and no meteor. Also HOW THE HELL DID YOU GROW MUSHROOMS CAN YOU PLANT THEM AND I DIDN'T KNOW? o.O

My weight can go up or down like, five pounds depending on water alone. IT IS MADDENING.

In random order! I mined my first meteor (BIG MISTAKE), and no one knew if you ever got a second one or not, but now I know you CAN! YAY! I have a new one, and I shall never, ever mine it! It sits in the middle of my orchard.


Though pretty useless, the mushrooms are my FAVORITE THINGS EVER. You might get one growing at random, there's no way to force it. Then, like trees, it might drop seeds around it. So make sure you don't clear them until you're sure they're treelings and not baby mushrooms! (They look like trees until the final stage.)

Your wife and I had an amusing cutscene. It was that 'playing music in the rain' one. I always, always cut trees down for wood, so she was playing next to this sapling that was like knee-high on her. She said to me "Haken, come stand with me under this tree so we're out of the rain'. and I eyed it and eyed her, then laughed.

Shane amuses me. Two of his favorite things are pizza and beer, and after I finished the community center he was out of work. SORRY MAN. And speaking of the community center, WOW does it give a bump in friendship! I decided to finish them as much as I can, so I don't lose those levels by not talking to people every day. YOU NEEDY TOWNSPEOPLE

Ah, that's where the mushrooms come from! I had a few on my farm when I was letting my trees run wild, and I wondered where they had come from. NOW I KNOW.

DYING LAUGHING about Haken's cutscene with my wife. Partly because it is hilarious in and of itself, but partly because I can picture Haken's assessment of this as if in a diary. "One of the living asked me to stand under a tree. The tree was very small and I would not fit under it. The living are not smart. Today I harvested sixteen tomatoes and seven jars of Poppy Honey."

I was wondering what he would do after Joja Mart closed down! I had seen him a couple of times at Marnie's house and felt kind of bad, but I was still upset about the Junimo being gone so I could not feel TOO sympathetic. I also love that apparently we share an aesthetic, which one of my friends calls "Hipster Han Solo." I was super mad when she said it because I knew she was right. I totally am into Hipster Han Solo.

The weight thing is SO ANNOYING, but at least I have come to realize that if mine shoots up five pounds in a day, probably I need to drink more water. Then the night that I have to get up and pee like twelve times I know I am no longer hydrated and it has quit retaining. Seriously, it is 2016, WHERE IS MY ROBOT BODY?

That's a good idea with the water. I've started wondering if I crave salty stuff more when I'm thirsty -- my body trying to trick me into drinking more. The two seem to go hand in hand, now that I'm watching for it.

Man, wouldn't it be fun to have Haken write ICly about each day's events? TOO BAD THAT WOULD TAKE TIME FROM ACTUALLY PLAYING THE GAME! I feel so bad, since starting a new farm, I haven't even once touched the old one.

I'm really excited about going the Joja route this time -- I can get my greenhouse right away ("right away" after 5,000 membership and a 35,00 fee), which will mean the money will roll in even more. I'm just boggling so hard, I'm still in spring of my first year, and now in addition to a bigger house and both backpacks, my tools are gold level, too. It's so different! Yet no mushroom trees yet. :P

I noticed something odd about Shane. I hadn't realized/remembered that he starts out in the Joja uniform in his icon, complete with hat. You can't see much of anything about him!

I decided I'm going to marry Harvey, the doctor, in this safe. I swear to god, he's the only adult option. I hate to be the one to tell you this, but today your wife was talking to me about not wanting to do her homework... :P

The fruit trees are a good way to hide/dress up the area around Pam's trailer. And once you don't need that quarry anymore, you can fill it up with fruit trees. :)
