November 5: Nano Haiku
Nov. 5th, 2010 04:52 amChicken soup, try two!
Stock, meat (breasts and legs), carrots.
Question: What spices?
Tomorrow (eh, Saturday, I'm cheating and posting this a couple hours early) will be chicken soup attempt #2! KISS is the new rule for this! (Keep It Simple, Stupid!) Stock (store bought), meat, carrots (I failed to find a bag of the cut up mixed fresh stuff, so I got a bag of baby carrots). The question is, what kind of herbs/spices do I need to use? I have nothing fresh, but a good variety of things in a jar. Think it'll need salt, or will the stock be salty enough?
I'm going to wait until the end to see if I want to add noodles or not, since they took away from the first attempt.
I wonder if it would be too bland if I used only stock, meat, carrots? No random herbs?
(I don't actually like carrots, but it seems like just chicken cooked in stock isn't really soup.)
