Misery does indeed love company (WoW)
Feb. 17th, 2011 09:18 amI hate Cata. I hated it from the get-go and I hate it even more now.
I still love WotLK. I miss Dalaran. I love Northrend. If my arm were twisted into doing instances, it would be these that I would pick.
I LOVE the WotLK storyline so endlessly much. Cata's Deathwing and "lol" cultists? They could take a flying leap.
It does my heart good to see daily posts popping up about people missing WotLK. Posts about it having the much better story line, the better areas, even things like better dailies.
Cata makes me so darned sad. Org is ugly. It's a horrible, ugly, crowded, laggy city. Dalaran is beautiful (and had the wonderful portals).
As my alts hit 85, they get sent to Dal to retire. Though the city is mostly empty, at least it's not all red and covered in ugly spikes.
Cata (Org) dailies bug the hell out of me. Most of the fishing ones involve no fishing and yet award fishing skill. The cooking ones are the same. In Dalaran, you actually have to fish enough to gain skill that way while doing the fishing dailies (SHOCK!), and you need Northrend meats and to cook them to do most of the cooking dailies.
The one good thing from Cata is flying, but honestly that should have been introduced a long, long time ago.
...Or, you know, maybe it's not good that I keep seeing these posts every day. They keep making me think about it and then I get more annoyed. It's pointless to get upset really, since I mostly just RP and do dailies/archaeology until alts hit 85 and then retire them. (Oh for the day all my alts are 85 and I never have to do another Org cooking/fishing daily! I may still do the Dal fishing one, as it's lovely and give good rewards.)
