TV has been annoying me lately. The online guide says X show is on, then when I turn to the channel, it's baseball. Tonight there was supposed to be a block of Big Bang Theory on, but nope, baseball. I assume it's some special game going on now (can't be the world series, I'd have heard about it on the news?) and there's a risk of rain? It's happened a few times this week.
Whatever the reason, please stop it, baseball.
Meh day overall. Way too many nights in a row of not enough sleep. Woke up with a raging headache (sinuses?) that plagued me on and off all day. I felt groggy and low energy all day.
I had intended not to RP at all, but I have a hard time saying no when it's offered. Comes from leaner RP times when it was harder to find: Say no once and you never know when you might find more. The scene was slow and low key, so that was okay. (I suppose I actually did turn down a scene later, but it was an IC refusal, so I guess that's different.)
I watched Pocahontas (Disney version) today, which was more enjoyable than any movie I've seen in a long time. Really, I loved it dearly. I loved every single song. I loved almost everything about it. Mel Gibson as the leading male was a bit... distracting. I HATE "funny", "cute" sidekick animals. Of course there were some unrealistic parts, but... Disney movie. Still, all in all, I loved it.
There was one interesting thing about the movie. I wonder if I'm getting more sensitive about such things or if the movie has become dated? (It came out in 1995, not that long ago. Shut up. And get the 80s music off the oldies stations, too!) Anyway, when the two main characters first met, a couple times Pocahontas said 'no' or 'let me go' or 'I'm leaving', and Smith kept her there by force. She wanted to leave, but he held her boat so she couldn't. She outright said 'no' repeatedly at one point and he physically held her there. That made my eyebrows go up. A woman says no, you get your hands off her.
