Movie of the week was The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Actually it was last week's movie, but it being a holiday weekend, there were good marathons on TV each day and so I was fine with just TV.

What I would give for a movie that holds my attention the whole time, one that keeps me from watching the clock and counting down time until I can do other things. Dawn Treader wasn't bad, it had its moments, but it wasn't good either. Also, unlike the Narnia books and movies I've read/seen thus far, it was heavy-handed on the HEY ASLAN IS JESUS NUDGE NUDGE WINK WINK thing.

Also, there was a moment that knocked me 100% out of the movie. I have no idea why it wasn't caught and changed. Near the end they had a scene:

Guy one: The bad thing will take the form of whatever you think of! Don't think of anything!
Guy two: ...uh oh...
Guy one: *eyes* What'd you think of...
Me: Stay Puff Marshmallow Man's going to show up?

Let's cheat and see what next week's movie is. Usually I let it be a surprise, but I'm losing my patience for movies I don't love. The Blind Side. Ugh. I stuck it into my queue thinking I should watch it, I might watch it, but then I keep putting other movies ahead of it. Wow, almost nothing left in my queue I really want to see. Okay, Megamind to the top, hopefully I'll like that. I gotta make time to put more movies in my queue.

---

WoW: I may have gone insane. Me, who hates leveling and PvE got eight levels today! So tired. zzz Leveling is crazy though, a total of 25% XP bonus from heirlooms plus 10% bonus from guild (no rested, alas). That works out to be about 10 quests per level! Thistle is 42 right now, I can't wait to hit 60 so I can level through nice, calm, casual archaeology. (You can start earlier, but it's pretty pointless without flying.)

Hm, unlike Dandelion the druid, I'm going to have to figure out a flying mount I want for Thistle the hunter. 18 more levels!

---

RL: Blah. I spent two hours this morning debating if I wanted to go to the farmer's market in the rain. Finally the desire for strawberries, fresh bread, and freshly baked pretzels won out, so off I went. Got there, noticed that there were ten times as many tents as usual. Odd. Walked in. No fruit/veggies, it was the local art and wine fest. Did they cancel the farmer's market? Move it for the week? No idea! Annoying that I went out in the rain for nothing. (Edit: It was canceled. Guess I'll have to make a point of checking their website ahead of time.)

I'm pondering going to the one tomorrow in the next town over, but will likely not. It's quite a bit further away, and the pretzel seller doesn't attend that one.

Monday I take my computer in to be looked at, EEEK. I tried to do a backup two nights ago, but my external drive wasn't big enough, so I ordered a new one. I shouldn't be so surprised at sizes, but this thing is one 1 TB and can easily fit in the palm of my hand. So tiny! Tonight: Backup time!
