I thought this story had to be made up. I thought there was no way this real.

GOP attacks Maine Democrat for ‘World of Warcraft’ character.

Look at these attack ads the Republicans put out. They look like they were made in MS Paint! One, two.

NBC News writes: "Colleen Lachowicz is a Democratic candidate running for State Senate in Maine. She's also a level 85 orc in the massively popular online game "World of Warcraft." And for that, the Republican party says she is unfit for office."

Insanity. Can we vote these people off the planet yet?

My mother, to be fair, is freaking out because evidently they have documentation of her character talking about how much fun it is to stab her enemies. Mom does NOT always successfully differentiate boundaries, however.

For example. she once told me that chatting online with my ex-boyfriend and the father of my child is EXACTLY like having sex with him. Except for that whole "we fought the whole time" and "we are now living thousands of miles apart" thing. You know.

I hated to tell her about some of the things that I have said in-game that were entirely appropriate for me to say in-game that would get me arrested in most states if I said them out of game.

Yeah... I'm sure I've said the "I can kill people and not be arrested" type thing before, too.

Good thing I don't intend to ever run for office?
