Comic books are expensive
Feb. 6th, 2014 04:02 pmI picked up the Loki comic today. The shop was a little uncomfortable in an overly friendly sort of way (three employees all helping just me, one joking and doing voices and such). The comic came out yesterday and had already sold out, but they sold me a copy saved for someone's monthly mail order (thus they had time to replace it).
I really, really liked the story and the art was spiffy, but $3 for something I read in minutes was unreasonabilly priced. I will buy future ones because I want to support Loki things, but I'm not happy about the price.
The shop included a bunch of preview book thingies. It shouldn't surprise me how many Avengers-world comics there are. I'm going to poke around for some online. Speaking of, I need to see if there's an online subscription or something for the Loki series -- I don't really want a physical copy floating around. iPad doesn't like the Marvel site though, so next time I'm on the computer.
