Snips and Snails and Puppy Dog Tales

[I started writing this post yesterday afternoon, then paused to do what I thought would be a couple minute RP scene. Six hours later it was midnight and well past my bedtime! ...ha, the first sentence of the post is now amusing.]

Slow night tonight, I've been catching up on all the shows I've Tivoed during the week. Big Bang Theory (SO GOOD), Mike and Molly (meh), and now last week's Two and a Half Men (blech).

As often happens in Two and a Half Men, someone's having sex. Loud sex. (Off screen of course, but loud.) I was playing with Ellie, dangling her favorite toy, and as the noises from the TV started she dropped it, sat up straight facing the TV, her ears pricked. She didn't look away until the scene/noises had ended. I've never seen her so interested in anything before, especially for so long a period.

Speaking of Two and a Half Men, the more I see of Ashton Kutcher, the less I like him. His looks, his voice, the way he killed the show... I used to get multiple laughs per ep, now I just sit and frown at the screen.

I have mixed hopes on the weekend's entertainment. Pocahontas (the Disney version) should be good, I loved it years ago. The TV shows are more questionable though. The Secret Circle (about witches) I'm wondering if it will be like that movie, the one with the teenagers from many years back. The movie was entertaining enough, maybe the show will as well. The other show is a long shot: Teen Wolf. See, I love werewolves, I have since I was a little kid, then damned Twilight came along and ruined anything vampire or werewolf related. I fully expect the show to be aimed at Twilight fans, so... likely going to suck. But I'll give it a try as time permits.

[Almost 24 hours later...]

It's been forever since I stayed up hours past my bedtime for RP. My poor brain is all fuzzy today! But I was still happy to be involved. :D

Clover hit 85 today, and needs only 3 more champ seals to be done with jousting forever, so it's time for him to retire to Dalaran and start his life as an AH mule. (Which means I can delete Dogcatcher and will finally have an alt slot free!!)

The thing is, now is the time to decide what to do about my Alliance guild. When worgen were announced, I grabbed the name <Team Jacob> , thinking it would be funny and amusing and ironic.

Instead everyone thought I was a Twilight fan. ><

I went on Trade briefly to try to sell it, but I've come to the conclusion that no amount of gold is worth spending time on Trade. I made a post on the official forums. If no one bites on that, then maybe... I hate to just delete it outright (er, if a guild can be deleted?), I don't know.

Which means, of course I need a new name. I thought of <The Speed of Dark> (book title + cool, but it might be too long, and it might become annoyingly emo). <Her Doxy> would be an amusing pairing to my Hordeside <His Doxy> guild. Plus is nice and short, and also has a great word (doxy!) and has the amusing racy undertone. I'd kind of like something new though. Hmm. Clover will be the only member in it, so:

In better news: Yay new TV season! I made myself not watch House so I could download it and watch it when I can better concentrate on it, but Big Bang Theory is on now and I couldn't resist! <3 Eeee!

WoW: Meh. Rogue is at 74. AV is speedyfast XP, but so boring. AB was the BG daily today, which reminded me of how much I love AB. Too bad AV is lightyears better for XP and honor. (Speaking of honor: Got my third purple 80 piece today, too.)

I really, really enjoyed Brewfest. It's nice to have holiday events that are fun and not annoying 'just gotta get through this to get my reward *mumble*'. Had oodles of fun getting drunk and finding something high enough to jump off of to get my achievement. :D

I hit 50 rogue last night, woo! Which put me into a new bracket today! And, for the first time, I PvPed with Death Knights. I learned many things today.

1) Every single Alliance player above level 58 is a DK. Seriously, at one point today I had eight DKs and their various ghouls jump me at once. I felt the need to apologize that all of them didn't get a swing in before I died.
2) I really, really hate DKs. What the living hell am I, rogue 50, supposed to do against multiple DKs? Not to mention the way they could just drag me around the battleground. I now know what a rabbit thrown into a pack of dogs feels like. *shake*shake*shake*KILL*

But! The XP at the lowest level is amazing. I got 10% of XP to level per fight, so in 11 matches I had leveled (9 wins, 2 losses), some matches took as little as five minutes.

Once I hit 51, I got to try out AV. After thirty levels of nothing but AB, AV was something of a shock. I went from knowing every exact detail of what to do, to being utterly clueless. I just followed the crowd and hoped for the best. We won, I got 25% of my level from the one match o.O, and three AV marks! 3/30 on my wolf, 0/40 on my last two pieces of 60 purples!

Got my third piece of purple 60 armor today, and it was the most expensive one so eee!

TV: I only got to watch a tiny bit of Being Human (maybe the first 10 minutes of the ep), but man am I loving it. It helps that I love werewolf stuff, not to mention naked butts! So much naked manflesh in such a short period! :P I can't wait to have time to watch more.

Finished Big Bang Theory, which made me sad. I loved every single minute of that show, and I laughed out loud quite a bit. *wiggles and wants more now* Yay new TV season starting soon!

(It's very hard to spell 'goggles', my fingers refuse to type anything other than 'googles'.)

My latest TV series has been Big Bang Theory. The promos for it had sort of caught my attention now and then, but I always avoided it because I generally don't like network comedy series. Boy was I wrong on this one! It's so cute! The characters are all geeks, which makes it even cuter! I want to hug them all! (I'm about a quarter way through the second season. Merlin, Burn Notice, and all other things have been paused until I'm caught up on Big Bang.)

I was starting to get worried though, as there's a big Big Bang slash community. There are five main characters and four of them are men, so you'd think there'd be tons of slash potential, but I just don't see it. One main character couldn't like women more (canon, no questions, he loves women -- he could still be bi, true, but seems very clear his focus is on women). Second main character is asexual. Third can't speak around women (teehee, so cute!) so there's potential there... The fourth is... icky. #4 also loves women to the mentioned point of being icky about it. So two of the four men clearly like women, one is outside the whole sex thing, and one has slash-potential. You can't slash someone with themself!

But I was worried it was just me. Was I losing my slash goggles? It does happen, same as people finding them. Then, in today's fandom_secrets I saw the cutest Mac/PC love picture. Eeeeee! I think Mac/PC is my current favorite couple. They're just so different people! But they have such... energy together! And they're so darned cute!

So maybe it's not just me... *polishes his goggles*
